Obama “Confident” Health Insurance Reform Will Pass

My Mom has had cancer twice , i have broke my wrist and my dad ( american) has had a few knee ops all from the NHS by the goverment and shock horror guess what ? everything when fine more then fine actually .
my mom cancer almost killed her but they worked for hours and hours helping her and she got through.
No bill, lines and waiting like everyone is saying, helping people who are sick if your rich or poor.
ask any brit in london are they proud of there healthcare , 9/10 would say yes.

@lopro091 It’s a shame this legislation was not introduced when the economy was good during either Clinton in 90’s or Bush Jr. Whatever the case the job situation is getting better, it’s not something that can be fixed overnight but things are in recovery mode. What the bill will do is lower your living cost, being insured is no different than having electricity and water, it’s something that’s a necessary. Those who are unemployed will be given a grace period and should opt for the gov’t plans.

As a soldier, I find it pretty amazing that Republicans are making such a fuss over being forced to purchase health insurance because it “infringes their freedom.” Why weren’t any of you raising a fuss when Bush announced that he was going to infringe on soldiers’ contracts by implementing his “stop loss” policy so he could wage his pointless war in Iraq? Why do you complain about costs associated with Obama’s plan but spending trillions in Iraq was acceptable? hypocrites

@vaughanweather I’ll tell you what the problem is If Obama would fix the jobs in America then people like the poor and middle class would be able to pick up the medical they need.. And i thought this was Americac why should we be forced to pick up medical?? It should be your choice..Without a stiff fine..So I cant pick up insurance cause I’m jobless and I cant pay there fine cause I’m jobless Can you say FUCKED UP!! I’m not the only one last time I checked unemployment is going up everyday..

Just about every country in the world has a public system and every western country has public health care. It’s the only system that works mathematically. You might pay a little more now but in the end your
going to save at least twice as much.

Insurance companies are in business to make money, governments are
not. In theory with a federal system you will pay for services at
cost, right now everyone is paying inflated rates.
