SEATTLE STANDs UP for Insurance reform
More than 3000 health insurance reform supporters rallied at Seattle’s Westlake Center to send Washington’s Congressional Delegation back to DC to finish the job of fixing our broken health insurance system. Rep. Jim McDermott and Rev. Lesley Braxton addressed the crowd whose voices could be heard for miles. The event was organized by Organizing for America and members of the Health Care for America NOW! coalition.

It is hilarious that these people are so blind. they look for the govt for healthcare. Little do they know, that there is no competition state by state for insurance policies. Instead of allowing states to buy outside of their state, they want to make this huge program. You want proof that competition works? When was the last time you heard “Car insurance reform now!” You dont, because they can sell it anywhere, and people have choice where to spend their money. Get a clue Americans!
Did these people actually read even couple of pages on Heath Care Reform (or whatever they call it now)? Do they have any idea about the Panel of Experts to make decision when you’ll actually get the benefits (i.e. MRI, treatment on seniors, prevention, cancer test/treatment? Are these people paid?
Why aren’t we seeing this on CNN or MSNBC? 3000 people! The “tea parties” are way smaller than this.
So much for the “liberal media” theory. All I see on MSNBC is never ending loops of angry crazy right wingers. If it bleeds it leads the news . So sad. Those people do not represent everyone. We want healthcare reform now!

I think people dont understand what ‘option’ means.
I could mail a package through UPS or FedEx, but i have the OPTION to send it through USPS if i prefer.

I beleive that tax your talking about is for those who have the very, tippy top coverage, that includes coverage for everything, tummy tucks, face lifts, you name it. If you can afford this kind of Lexus coverage, then a sliding scale tax hike is something you won’t even notice on your pay check.

The majority is being thwarted by a compromise that was made at our country’s founding to form this nation and that has not yet been corrected.
Which compromise, you ask? It is the overwhelming power of Senators elected according to geography (rather than according to population) that thwarts the citizen majority that now lives in urban areas concentrated among fewer states.
We got rid of the 3/5ths compromise. So let’s now end the current UNREPRESENTATIVE makeup of the Senate!
At the end of the day it will cost me.That will put some companies getting rid of there insurance.They can reform the programs they already have in place.They just want to start something that will eventually spread like cancer.Before you know it we will all be on the crappy Government Health care
H.R. 3200 i have and if i keep my insurance there will be taxes added on.I didn’t understand if they will directly toward me or the company i work for

The government isn’t taking over anything - why don’t YOU read the bill. It’s a public option.
All the people who rely on Medicare would disagree with you, and so would the veterans who receive free medical care from the government as well.

Reform health care but dont let the Government take it over.The Government can’t run anything efficiently.And its not a right!Its a privilege.And if the Government takes it over it will tax working class too death.If you keep your insurance you will have to pay a penalty.H.R 3200 is the bill read it yourself.Its a scam
