I thought i was alone in saying that it’s like ending world hunger by a UN “Eating mandate”
@cagedchild don’t breed
@theirishfrog No, I am not a coward who needs to be cradled by some evil government that uses the people and tricks them into buying health insurance. How can a person pay for this if our economy is failing? Now the money that would go toward rebuiling our economy and making jobs will be going to drug dealers also know as “doctors”. Now we will have to choose between paying penaltys for not having healthcare or food. What a perfect life right?
Well Obama passed the madate anyway and you zombies still support him… can you poeple please stop drinking the coolaid.
@cagedchild You are fucking kidding me, right?
The Lord Jesus Christ and Our Creator are the only source of protection of my body and that of my family that I can accept. I have faith that the body that God has designed for me is flawless, if I should fall ill then it is my fathers plan for my life which I accept. To interupt the natural process of “God’s will” would go against my faith.
I don’t know what the heck you guys are talking about.
What I do know is this cigarette and oxycodone cheeseburger goes splendidly with this aborted placenta smoothie. I don’t know what manner of ignorant racist, racist ignoramus would venture any “personal responsibility” mumbo rusho in the year 2010.
“Racking” up posts? Remember it was YOU, in explaining high operating costs you mentioned the high stock option compensation as part of the reason, now you refuse to explain how that works. We WERE having a dialog, I mentioned reasons Medicare balance sheets are illegal in the real world of insurance. Stock options is your PROOF of 8- 10% management costs. BTW, 10% of united health is $8 billion. Coward.
I know you are just “”racking up”" posts …
and not participating !
Which FUNDS from patients transferred without robbing us? This is unclear. 42-54% what???? If you are talking about operating costs, I already went through a list of costs off Medicares books, including $42 TRILLION in unfunded liability, which is illegal for any private firm. Fraud I mentioned, as only 1 example of the govt figures being silly. Unfunded liability is #1. Govt forces hospitals to take emergency patients who dont pay, and you blame PRIVATE enterprise for the wreckage?
luvche
Sure … when you follow up on all the topic you have not answered
-
… can not ‘transfer funds’ from patients to the - pharmacies, doctors and hospitals with out some crooks and liars robbing US.
-
And you’re defending paying 42-54% rather than 3%
WHY ?
-
Medicare can have about 15 times as much “fraud” and still be cheaper than “for profit” insurance !
-
over-billing is also done to compensate for E.R. visits by those who can not pay !
Can you separate the two ??
-
Etc., etc.
@hackit12 You were going to explain stock options and how those huge amounts to CEO`s are a problem to you? And, explain how Standard Oil`s monopoly, with over 60 domestic competitors who couldnt compete in price, was hurting consumers. Thanks.
Hack, what about your expanation of CEO excessive stock options, who pays them? And, the “monopoly” of Standard Oil”, with 66 competitors?
At the “peak” of Standard Oil`s market share ( 90%), it had 66 US competitors ( 66 competitors is monopoly?) Therefore, the number of competitors must not be the definition of monopoly, market share must be. Businesses with competition who charge high prices dont get huge. WalMart is big because of too high of prices? Breaking up big corps only helps businesses. Businesses who cant compete cheaply enough. Anti trust helps businesses, not consumers.
“Creative destruction” is the natural process of an economy moving into a more competitive state. Older, lower paid industries in decline (jobs flowing to poorer, less advanced economies), with newer, higher paid industries created out of nothing by the more advanced economies. Parents in the US are unwilling to insure enough children learn the skills necessary in the world, math and science. Parents in Asia do. We will make their plastic toys, utensils when you win, at 3rd world wages.
Outlaw tractors, make horse drawn plows the only legal farming method, and we can return to the 1860 agricultural employment rate of 60%, instead of now 2%. Make imports illegal, and we can go back to making radios, TV`s, kitchen utensils, plastic toys, and all else, and let the Chinese, Taiwanese, train their kids in math, science, and let them take the future, which is software, I pads, hi- tech (the latest intellectual property, and the highest value- added industries allowing highest pay )
luvcheney -’govt did not protect, and regulate’-
-
Exxon-Mobil [Standard Oil company] …
Every thing you mention in that post is indefensible on the basis of raising living standards. Everything raises costs, is insolvent, or would occur naturally at lower cost. Pick one item, make a case for it.
Name one good, correct use of anti - trust, where the govt did not protect, and regulate the “monopoly into existence? By “good”, I mean a monopoly that was big and not favored by the consumer.
Hack, perhaps you will explain what stock options are, and the purpose of their use? Also, why did McGuire “resign”? Where does that money come from?
Why should a private hospital, private doctor be forced to give service for free? If you were forced to work for free, you would scream SLAVERY, and you would be correct. Using a coercive, involuntary policy, directed at a small group, to suffer financially for others is not freedom, it is slavery.
My brother travels frequently, and when he gets ill, and needs a doctor, it is impossible almost to find doctors who treat Medicare patients UNLESS you pay the $600 for Medicare advantage, because then the extra insurance pays much closer to the going rate. The idea of “free” insurance after 65 is a joke, and when Obamacare is reality, real quality service will not be available UNLESS you have cash. Perhaps Obama will outlaw that, so, off to India, or Costa Rica.
Fraud is only one piece of Medicare where “operating costs” are lower because govt does not hunt fraud. I touched on only a few, but $42Trillion promised, and not in the bank dwarfs any other arithmetic.
luvchene - -blah, blah

luvchene-”Factory 1950 about 30%,

Where did they go ? Why did they go there …
.
Reagan and Bush both said tax cuts for the rich would “trickle down” … both lied and mis-represented them as “Jobs Programs” - but did not tie “one penny to hiring people” in America, nor buying American machinery.
.
Now we hide “the obvious” under terms like “globalization and information technology” !
.
Need to cancel GATT and WTO and bring the jobs back !
Dems. have taken the moral high ground on - clean air, water, safe food, and medicine, fair wages, equal pay, safe work places, Social Security, Medicare, HealthCare for all !! … etc.
..
It is an oligarchy - all power is vested in a few persons - in a dominant class or clique … [Sup. Crt. says that can disproportionately finance/bribe govt.]

Theres class warfare, all right, Mr. Buffett said, but its my class, the rich class, thats making war, and were winning.
